Luxman CD Players
Luxman D-05 The D-05 is a high-grade D Series CD player designed to produce a quiet sound field and reproduce acute sound. The D-05 was developed by applying the know-how and technologies acquired while developing the D Series with the original LxD TM drive mechanism, digital circuits with higher model specifications equipped with high sound quality DAC of surprising dynamic range, and analog circuits supported by the know-how to produce amplifiers. Luxman D-38u The D-38u is an exclusive CD player that incorporates the modern digital circuits and analog technologies proved in the D Series. The D-38u is mounted in a square wooden case that may remind audiophiles of our past products, like the case with the vacuum tube integrated SQ-38u amplifier. The number 38, which symbolizes our best products, is given to this first CD player in the series. To realize acoustic expression that is refined and warm to listeners, semiconductor output based on high quality DAC and cathode follower-type vacuum output using vacuum tube ECC82 can be selected. The headphone output terminals and a remote control that covers all operations enable the listener to conveniently. Luxman D-08 D-08 has finally completed by introducing our know-how and technical breakthrough to improve sound quality newly obtained in development of our flagship model, the 1000 series amplifier, into all of 3 components, “Disk Drive, Digital Circuit, and Analog Circuit" that compose a digital player. We have newly developed our original drive mechanism LxDTM* as the signal reading device that is an essential component in a player. Luxman D-06 The D-06 is an SACD/CD player exclusively for two-channel units, incorporating innovative audio and digital technologies as well as new that would later be adopted in the flagship D-08 model. The D-06’s analog circuits have given birth to new life for acoustic sources, including many innovative units such as the original LxD TM drive mechanism featuring high-precision reading ability while producing both high rigidity and quietude, high-sound-quality DAC with a surprisingly wide dynamic range of up to 132 dB like the D-08, digital circuits adopting the PCM1792A in a dual monaural composition, a power transformer exclusive for audio circuits, and a fully balanced, high-sound-quality buffer circuit. Luxman DU-50 The basic model, DU-50, is a cost-effective player which has genuinely inherited sound quality and picture quality from DU-7i. DU-50 is a fully and luxuriously equipped player with the scent of high-end models including 216 MHz/14 bits of the high-performance video encoder capable of DVD video reproduction in a high resolution level and the insulator leg made of gradation cast iron to remarkably suppress body vibration as well as fluency DAC that is a symbol of LUXMAN's universal players capable of generation of real and smooth sound. The champagne gold color is also available to coordinate with L-500f, integrated amplifier series, and L-505u (g). Luxman DU-7i DU-7i is an advance model of DU-7 that has received good reputation. Improvement of LUXMAN-specific high sound quality and high video quality has drastically enhanced the perfection level. The technique for high sound quality acquired in the process of developing the upper model, DU-80, has been unsparingly introduced to maximize the sound attractiveness of fluency DAC with mono drive. DU-7i is suited to reproduce high-quality sources such as SACDs, DVD-audios, and DVD-videos in a theater system thanks to enhancing the discrete power supply section of high inertia configuration by mounting a large size R-core power transformer and thanks to mounting 216 MHz/14 bits of the high-performance video encoder. Luxman DU-80 DU-80 is a top-end model that has been designed to reproduce high sound quality through the elimination of any compromise. We have introduced a peel coat gold-plating base plate from which resist film was thoroughly eliminated into an audio circuit, and have brought in our traditional high sound quality elements in full scale including a high-capacity audio-specific custom resistor. The 2-channel output is an ideal specification where high-performance fluency DAC is used in the monaural configuration (DSD direct processing for SACD). We have newly developed a tough mechanism support block capable of controlling internal airflow with body design featuring thorough vibration suppression and high rigidity. DU-80 is designed to have no space between the surface of circuits and the surface of the structure at all, and has achieved luxurious high sound quality that is far superior to a standalone CD player.
