The new EAT F-Dur is built on design of our Forte S turntable, combining high-end performance with a more accessible price. It keeps the timeless style and rich sound quality EAT is known for. At its core is the 12 EAT F-Note tonearm, crafted to bring out the full depth and detail of your music. A solid CNC-machined aluminum platter, powered by two ultra-quiet AC motors, ensures smooth, stable playback every time. The F-Dur is where elegant design meets exceptional sound.
Platter
The EAT F-Dur platter is crafted from heavy CNC machined aluminum to provide maximum mass and balance, enhancing rotational consistency and minimizing vibration. Inside the platter, TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) damping is integrated to absorb resonances and deliver clearer, more detailed audio playback. The platter features an oversized diameter, which increases kinetic energy and significantly reduces wow and flutter. This ensures perfect speed stability during playback. Unlike increasing the height of a platter, which can introduce a tumbling effect, the increased diameter improves the flywheel effect and offers better horizontal stability without compromising performance.
Bearing
This turntable features a magnetically supported inverted main bearing that allows the platter to float, significantly reducing mechanical load on the bearing itself. By relieving pressure on the contact point, this design minimizes wear and ensures ultra-smooth rotation. At the heart of the bearing is a precision ceramic ball, chosen for its exceptional hardness and low friction, further enhancing durability and performance. The heavy, solid bearing block acts as an energy sink, effectively absorbing and dissipating vibrations.
Motor
This turntable is driven by two ultra-quiet AC motors, carefully selected from batches of over 100,000 units to ensure only the highest-performing examples are used. Using two motors increases the number of magnetic poles, which significantly reduces motor cogging and results in smoother, more stable rotation. A precision DC-driven AC power generator supplies a freshly created sine wave to drive the motors, further minimizing vibrations. This advanced power supply design not only ensures consistent motor performance but also contributes to more accurate and detailed sound reproduction.
A solid stand
The turntable stands on solid, full-aluminum feet that provide exceptional stability and durability. Each foot is steplessly height adjustable, allowing for precise leveling on any surface. Integrated TPE damping inside the feet effectively absorbs vibra- tions, isolating the turntable from external interference and enhancing overall sound clarity.
New belt
The turntable is equipped with a newly developed drive belt that incorporates carbon fibers into its construction. This unique material blend makes the belt conductive, effectively eliminating static buildup during operation. Designed as a single seamless ring with no glued joints, the belt ensures smooth, consistent motion and improved reliability.
Highest level in analog reproduction
The EAT F-Note tonearm has a cardanic construction with four ultra low friction pinpoint bearings. The top version of the tonearm features a super hard diamond mirror for the bearings. Fine-tuning your sound is simple and tool-free VTA, VTF, and azimuth can all be adjusted with exact precision, meeting the expectations of even the most discerning listeners. The precision of the adjustments is brought to perfection by a laser diode, that indicates accurate settings.
A huge and massive base isolates the tonearm from any vibrations produced by the turntable itself.
