The KA-B-1 Goat Hair Brush is the instrument used to apply Kirmuss Audio’s KA-AS-1 ionising surfactant onto the record surface before each cleaning cycle. Its soft, fine synthetic bristles spread the surfactant evenly and work it gently into the grooves — something no spray alone can achieve.
When used correctly, the brush also gives you a visual confirmation that the restoration process is working: as contamination is drawn out over successive cycles, a toothpaste-like residue appears on the bristles. As the record becomes cleaner, this residue diminishes — telling you exactly when restoration is complete.
