Description
For optimal playback of the CD format, which has been a staple of music media for over 40 years, the D-03R features LUXMAN’s traditional left-side mechanical layout, ensuring an ideal signal flow.
A robust chassis structure minimises vibrations, supporting accurate disc reading.
At the core of its digital playback system, the D-03R is the first to adopt ROHM’s BD34352EKV DAC chips in a dual-mono configuration.
This player also offers a wide range of digital inputs, allowing connections to a PC or network transport such as the NT-07.
The DAC processors support data rates of up to 384kHz/32bit for PCM and 22.5MHz for DSD signals via the USB input, and up to 192kHz/24bit for PCM data via the COAX/OPT input, providing a powerful digital-to-analogue conversion environment.
Their refined analogue circuitry utilises fully balanced I/V conversion to handle the differential outputs of the DAC chips.
The unit also features a finely tuned output amplifier block, enhanced with LUXMAN’s custom components, delivering a powerful drive output to subsequent hi-fi components.
This is evidenced in the excellent sound quality inherited from our higher-end D-10X and D-07X models.
To ensure a stable voltage supply to each circuit element, the D-03R incorporates a highly stable power supply system with independent circuit power regulation and large-value filter capacitors dedicated to each of the mechanical, digital, and analogue systems.
The exterior design combines intuitive controls with a newly adopted, large OLED display for excellent visibility.
The front panel features a sleek, square-edged front panel in an elegant Blasted White finish, creating a simple yet elegant aesthetic that enhances any listening space.
The D-03R is a state-of-the-art digital media player that has been designed to preserve the value of our listeners’ CD collections with supreme sound quality, while also supporting high-resolution audio source inputs, including the latest streaming services.
